Responsible sourcing
Only the highest quality materials — and we can prove it
Mathilda products live on the floors of people we love. That sets a high bar — for durability, for safety, and for the people who make them. Here's how we source.
Natural fibers first
Wool, organic cotton, and jute from OEKO-TEX® and GOTS certified mills. No micro-plastic shedding by default.
Audited suppliers
Every tier-1 supplier signs our Code of Conduct and is independently audited for fair wages and safe working conditions.
Repair, don't replace
Modular construction means a worn cover or a single sensor can be swapped — not the entire mat. Free repairs in year one.
Made with partners, not factories
We work with a small number of family-run weavers in Portugal, Morocco and India. Long contracts, transparent pricing.
Our certifications
- • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — tested for harmful substances
- • GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard for cotton
- • RWS — Responsible Wool Standard
- • B-Corp certification (in progress, 2026)
Supply-chain transparency
We publish an annual transparency report listing every tier-1 and tier-2 supplier, audit results, and the percentage of revenue paid to manufacturing partners. If something is wrong, we want you — and our partners — to be able to tell us.
